Tiny TV Freeview Receiver | TVONICS MFR-300

With the digital switchover already happening in some parts of the country, it’s time to start thinking about what to do with the old analogue TVs in your house. The huge googlebox in the lounge might be fully digitally equipped, but what about the sets in the bedrooms and kitchen? TVonics has come to the rescue with a plam-sized box that measures just 70 X 54 X 27 mm, so you don’t need to worry about it taking up too much space. The MFR-300 micro Freeview receiver can be completely hidden behind the TV and doesn’t even need a Scart socket – it will plug directly into the TV’s aerial socket. It only uses 4.7 Watts of power when running and it can even automatically switch to standby if it’s been on for a long time.

Bought two of these for my kids, they are ace, they don’t need a SCART, and the old TVs just tune into them. Saved me £400 on low quality LCDTV’s that dont provide crisp pictures like the two portables my kids now have in their rooms.
