Lacie’s new Little Disk crams a massive amount of storage into an incredibly small space. It can hold 40GB of data but measures a minuscule 67 X 43 X 17mm – about the size of a cigarette lighter. This is all possible thanks to Samsung’s latest 1.3in hard drive, which is available in capacities ranging from 12 GB up to 40GB, but is only the size of a Compact Flash II memory card. There’s a retractable USB cable so you don’t need to worry about it getting lost and it will draw its power from the USB port so it doesn’t require a separate adapter. It comes preloaded with Lacie’s 1-Click Backup software and LacieSync utility, which will keep copies of updated files, emails and personal settings synchronised between two PCs.
