Don’t wait for CES to get sneak peek of Samsung’s Android based media player Galaxy Player. Amazon.co.uk is already listing the device for pre-order in two different versions; 8GB and 16GB.

Galaxy Player has similar functionalities (expect cellular option) and design of Galaxy S mobile phone. So far we can see on the promo video, it looks like Samsung has built a solid media player and Samsung-Android duo can be a strong competitor of Apple iPod families.

Galaxy Player is much cheaper than Apple’s iPod; 8GB is for £149.99 (iPod 8GB 4th Gen – 4th Gen) and 16GB is for £179.99. There is no 32GB version listed on Amazon.co.uk yet. But both Galaxy Player version has Micro SD expandable and changeable battery capabilities.
