Oh my God! I can’t remember when the last time I was so impressed with a laptop design. Samsung 9 Series Laptop is a beautifully crafted laptop. It is incredibly thin, but very rigid thanks to its Duralumin build. The design is very clean and the sharp edges have been designed to make the system look even slimmer. According to The lead designer of the system YeoWan Yun, the 9 Series was inspired by nature’s beauty, including waves, leaves, and water.

It’s great to see some shine laptop wows the CES 2011 crowds. Samsung has just unveiled new 13.3-inch 9 Series laptop and it’s said to be the “thinnest and lightest 13-inch notebook available.”

The 9 Series comes with a second-generation Intel Core i5-2537M CPU, 4GB of DD43 RAM, and a 128GB solid-state drive, along with Windows 7 Professional. The design looks great so far: its metal finish has beautiful curved edges, and Samsung boasts it’s the thinnest 13-inch laptop in existence. While specific dimensions weren’t provided, it weighs 2.86 pounds. Despite its size, it also packs a 1.5-watt subwoofer and stereo speakers, too.

At the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2011, Opera Software will unveil the first public preview of Opera for tablets. Christen Krogh (Chief Development Officer, Opera Software) says,

In 2011, tablets are a new must-have. Opera is creating waves with the first public preview of Opera for tablets. Opera for tablets brings the same trusted Internet experience to tablets and netbook PCs as users have come to love on their mobile phones and desktops.

Opera has released a video teaser of the browser which displays that the new browser is shown running on an Android (Android) tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab; its capabilities include smooth panning and zooming, as well as a home screen with a grid displaying your most-visited websites.

Yesterday, Google launched their cloud-based operating system called Chrome OS. It’s a ground breaking announcement as it will change the way we see our computers and computing today.
